What it is
A report, not software. Before you commit to a decision that involves more than one country, it lists the legal matters that decision will raise in each country, the approvals you must obtain, and the order to deal with them.
When to use it
When you are still deciding, or about to start, something that crosses borders: buying a company abroad, entering a market, setting up a subsidiary, moving money, people or data, restructuring or exiting.
How to use it
Describe the decision in a few sentences, in your own words. We confirm what is included, the fee and the date in writing. You then receive the report in your WLA account.
What you gain
One clear picture instead of separate opinions from each country. You know what to do first, what can wait, and where a local lawyer is truly needed, so you spend on advice only where it matters.
THE SITUATIONA company based in Dubai wants to buy a distributor in Germany. The products are made in India.
WITHOUT THE MAPThree law firms in three countries each answer their own part. Nobody shows you how the parts fit together, which approval must come first, or which questions are urgent. Problems appear late, when they are expensive.
WITH THE MAPOne document names the three countries, the approvals each may require, the order to do things in, the questions that need a German or Indian lawyer's answer, and what can safely wait.
JurisdictionA country or territory with its own laws and courts.
Regulatory gateAn approval, filing or government review you must clear before you can go ahead. For example, a review of foreign buyers.
Local counselA lawyer qualified in the country where the law applies. Only they can confirm what that country's law requires.
VerifiedChecked by a WLA lawyer in that country before the report reaches you. AI helps to draft; it does not decide what the law is.
