WLA was founded in 2018 by practitioners who watched the same problem repeat: excellent independent firms were passed over for significant cross-border work, not for lack of expertise, but for lack of an institution through which to deliver it.
The answer was not another referral arrangement. It was an institution: shared standards under which independent firms co-practise, co-think and build global capability together.
