He cut his teeth in a strong litigation firm in the city following which he headed the Port Harcourt branch of a commercial law firm. He was Company Secretary of Aker Nigeria Limited, a multinational oil field supply base management company; Bonny Allied Industries Limited (which later metamorphosed into Dangote Bail Limited) a multi-national company (makers of Rock and Dangote cement brands) and Epic Leasing and HP Company Ltd.

George Agyemang Sarpong is the Managing Partner of G. A Sarpong & Co., Legal Practitioners and Consultants, Accra. George is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law University of Ghana (LL. B, 1981); the Ghana School of Law (B.L, 1983); the University of British Columbia (LL.M International Law, 1984); and the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies (LL.M Environmental Law, Occasional Student, 1995). Giorgina Galante is a Coordinating Partner at the firm, specializing in corporate advisory, intellectual property, and commercial contracting.
