Aimé MBARUSHIMANA, the visionary founder and Managing Partner of “PLC Advocates” Firm, has been practicing law as an Advocate since 2006. With a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M) specializing in International Arbitration and Business Law from American University Washington College of Law, Washington DC, and another LL.M in International Economic and Business Law from the Kigali Independent University (ULK), Aimé brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. He also holds an LL.B from the prestigious National University of Rwanda (NUR).

As a certified Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (MCiarb), Aimé is well-versed in domestic arbitration, serving as a valued Domestic Arbitrator at the Kigali International Arbitration Center (KIAC). He has served as a Sole arbitrator or panel member in various domestic institutional and ad hoc arbitrations, representing diverse parties with utmost dedication. Aimé is also an internationally accredited Mediator, trained by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) of London and The Edwards Mediation Academy (EMA). Furthermore, he holds the esteemed position of an accredited court-annexed mediator with the Supreme Court of Rwanda.

With an impressive background in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), corporate law services and intellectual property law, Aimé’s expertise is diverse and far-reaching. His extensive experience in both litigation and arbitration encompasses high-profile cases in commercial matters, establishing him as a trusted legal professional.
