Gemma Atares holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2000) and completed a Postgraduate Course in Legal Practice at the Barcelona Bar Association (2001–2003). She is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association since 2002 and pursued a Postgraduate Course in Restructuring and Insolvency Judicial Proceedings at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2007.

Gemma specializes in legal advice in insolvency law, corporate law, and emerging technologies, including data protection. She provides strategic counsel to private companies, founders, family businesses, charities, high-net-worth individuals, luxury and fashion brands, and professional service providers. Her expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance and risk, dispute resolution, arbitration and mediation, tax advisory, labor and employment law, immigration, and injury and terrorism law.
