Chris Zeevenhooven is an experienced employment and corporate law partner at Penrose Law, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She began her legal career in 1998 at CMS in the Netherlands and later became a partner at a full-service law firm, leading its employment law department from 2006 to 2013. Following this, she founded her own law firm, further developing her entrepreneurial skills and professional network.

Chris joined Penrose Law as an employment law partner on 1 May 2020, representing companies, board members, and employees on all matters of Dutch employment law. She is known for her ability to unburden clients while maintaining a clear overview, offering quick, practical, and strategic solutions. Chris regularly organizes presentations and training for HR directors on conflict prevention and effective communication in employment relationships.

In addition, Chris has extensive experience in sports law, having acted as a judge in the arbitration commission of the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) and representing players, coaches, and club board members both as a lawyer and as a player agent.

She holds a postgraduate degree in labour law from the Grotius Academy (2004) and is an active member of the Association of Employment Lawyers in the Netherlands (VAAN), the Amsterdam Employment Lawyers Association (VAAA), the Association for Labour Law (VvA), and the Association for Sports and Law (VSR). Her areas of expertise include employment law and corporate law, providing clients with comprehensive, high-level legal guidance.
