I am the Founder and Managing Director ofA. KOULOUNDI & CO. LLC, a Cyprus-based law firm focused on private client advisory, international structuring, fiduciary services, and family governance. For nearly two decades, I have advised high-net-worth individuals, multigenerational families, family offices, corporations, and trustees on Cyprus-based and cross-border legal, governance, and fiduciary matters. My practice sits at the intersection of family, ownership, and business, where legal structuring must work not only technically, but also relationally and sustainably. I am deeply committed to supporting business families in navigating the complex dynamics that arise between family relationships, wealth preservation, succession planning, and corporate continuity. Central to my approach is a strong sensitivity to the human factor. With an academic background in Psychology alongside my legal training, I firmly believe that when family motivations, communication patterns, and interpersonal dynamics are understood and respected, effective legal and governance solutions naturally follow. Throughout my career, I have developed a holistic understanding of how corporate, trust, and governance structures interact with family systems and long-term succession planning. My work extends beyond drafting documentation to helping families design frameworks that preserve both harmony and wealth across generations. A defining chapter of my professional journey was serving as Legal Advisor and Chief Operations Officer of a prominent Family Office in Cyprus, where I worked closely with a large multigenerational family comprising five distinct branches. In this role, I supported the establishment and operational structuring of the family office, as well as the development of a comprehensive family governance framework. This included:

• Defining clear roles and responsibilities between family and business
• Drafting family constitutions, agreements, and internal policies anchored in shared values
• Establishing family councils and specialised committees
• Structuring boards that balance family representation with independent oversight
• Designing governance systems to support long-term succession and continuity

Prior to founding my firm, I held senior leadership roles within fiduciary and corporate service organizations, including Managing Director and Head of Trust Department at a regulated trustee company, and Deputy Head of Corporate at an international corporate services provider. I also practised banking and finance law and was involved in M&A transactions, restructurings, and legal due diligence for Cyprus and international groups. I am a Full Member (TEP) of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), an Accredited Mediator, an Accredited Compliance Officer, and a member of several international legal networks.
