Afrin Ahmed is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh with 14 years of professional experience in corporate law. She began her career as a Legal Associate at Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed and Associates and later worked at Juris Counsel with Advocate Tawfique Nawaz. She subsequently served as Senior Legal Counsel at the Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC), a project funded by IFC, for six years, where she was involved in policymaking, international and local training arrangements, administration, facilitation of arbitration and mediation, and communication with stakeholders including government, corporate, and international organizations.

Afrin has extensive experience providing legal advice to local and international companies on EPC contracts, construction and developer disputes, project financing, employment issues, contractual claims, and dispute resolution. She has conducted numerous mediations and negotiations to resolve commercial and contractual disputes and regularly conducts training and seminars for organizations including FICCI, Employers Federation of Bangladesh, and BIAC.

In her corporate advisory role at Rancon Group, she oversaw legal strategy, compliance, process evaluation, and management of the legal team across 13 SBUs. Under her professional leadership, Afrin serves as the sole legal retainer for NAAFCO Group, Shetu Pesticides Ltd., Hong Kong Air Cargo Carrier Ltd., Adex Corporation Ltd., and Spectra International Ltd., providing comprehensive legal guidance and corporate counsel.
