Wilson Martínez concentrates his professional practice in the areas of corporate business law (mergers, acquisitions and other business reorganizations), business transactions, trust businesses (public and private), real estate and construction law, strategic estate planning, and public-private partnerships for the development of infrastructure. As part of his experience, he has been a member of the official Commission for the drafting of Law No. 47-20 of Public-Private Partnerships and their application regulations, as well as the Commission in charge of the implementation of the General Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships. In addition, he has participated in the drafting and revision of other important laws of the Dominican Republic, such as Law No. 189-11, for the Development of the Mortgage and Trust Market; Law No. 45-20 on Secured Transactions, among others.


He obtained a law degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and a master’s degree in Corporate Business Law from the same institution. He is a certified specialist in Prevention of Money Laundering and Against the Financing of Terrorism, a certification endorsed by the Association of Certified Specialists in Financial Crimes (ACFCS). He also carried out the program on Contracting Complex Projects of Public-Private Partnerships, sponsored by the European Union, the General Directorate of Public Contracting of the Dominican Republic and the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC).
