Lukas Witsenburg started his legal career at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. After a few years he decided to go international and he built up a cross-border commercial practice as a lawyer at the law firm HBN Law in Curacao.
Upon his return to the Netherlands, Lukas successfully completed the M&A specialisation course at the VU University Amsterdam Law Academy. In 2009, Lukas co-founded Penrose with Frans Beishuizen.
Lukas concentrates his law practice on corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, and complex commercial contracts. He is involved in the structuring of enterprises, corporate governance and control structures, joint ventures, M&A transactions and asset transfers. Lukas also specialises in customised commercial contracts. Lukas’ client base consists both of professional tech investors as well as innovative start-ups and scale-ups in the field of IT and/or sustainability.
