Jaromír Petera studied law at the Law School of the University in Hradec Králové and also the Law School of Charles University in Prague. At both of the Universities, he was awarded an honours degree for excellent results. In addition to that, at Charles University in Prague, he won the first place in the Students’ Scientific and Professional Activities Competition in the field of copyright law, organised by the Council of Higher Education Institutions. In 2008, he passed a doctoral examination at Charles University in Prague, focusing on intangible property rights and copyrights, an area he still focuses on as a lecturer.
In his practice, Jaromír Petera concentrates mainly on commercial law and administrative law, including construction law and real estate registration law, as well the area of torts and other administrative delicts. As far as these areas are concerned, Jaromír Petera has been instrumental in the resolution of a range of significant cases, including advice on international arbitration proceedings. Nevertheless, he provides legal advice also in the field of labour law and civil law. Jaromír Peter speaks Czech, his mother tongue, and English.
Jaromír Petera is an attorney-at-law and member of the Czech Bar Association.
