Ángel has advised multiple national and international businesses on corporate matters. His main specialist areas are Competition, Commercial and Corporate Law and he has accumulated extensive experience in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Food & Agriculture sectors, having advising some of the leading companies in these fields.
He has held the position of Secretary of the Board for various companies, among others, AKZO NOBEL PACKAGING COATINGS, SALTON PRODUCTOS ESPAÑA, JOHN DEERE WATER, LAVENDON ACCESS SERVICES SPAIN and P.S. APLICLOR.

Ángel Valdés has been highlighted by Best Lawyers 2017, 2018 and 2019 in both Antitrust/Competition Law and in Corporate and M&A Law. He is also recommended by Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500 and The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers as one of the best lawyers on matters of Competition in Spain. He is a member of the Academic Council of the Master’s in EU and Competition Law at Carlos III University, and has been a member of the Editorial Board of the EU and Competition Legal Gazette. He is the Spanish member of the Antitrust Alliance (also recommended by Chambers & Partners). He is the author of the book “A Guide to Investing in Spain” (ed. IMADE), in order to publicize the main Spanish legislation applicable to foreign investors in Spain; he is co-author of “Complex Problems in European Union and Competition Law: Competition and European Yearbook” in the different annual editions from 2014 up to 2019 (ed. Civitas-Thomson Reuters) and co-author of “Horizontal Agreements and Cartels in EU Competition Law” (ed. Oxford University Press). He is a speaker at seminars and conferences on Business Law (Spanish National Congress on Compliance Officers, National Congress of Spanish Bar Associations) and contributes to numerous national and international publications in the sector, such as Expansion, La Gaceta de los Negocios, Cinco Días, Tribuna del Derecho, European Business Brief, Solicitor Journal and the Financial Times Law Brief.
