We will help you find the lawyer who best fits  your needs.

    • Many of our panel attorneys have decades of experience.
    • Your lawyer will be an experienced professional in good standing with the local bar and theWLA.
    • We ask our attorneys to schedule an appointment for you within 24 to 48 hours whenever possible.
    • We can try to find an attorney near your home or work, and the consultation can occur in person or over the phone.
When you call the World Law Alliance Lawyer Referral and Information Service , you will be asked what country you are calling from, and where in the world you would like to see an attorney. The WLA staff will ask you to describe your problem. Any information you provide will be held in the strictest confidence. The WLA counselors are not lawyers and therefore cannot give you legal advice, but will help you find the right resource for your situation. In the event that we do not offer lawyer referrals in any country, we will provide you with contact information for a lawyer referral service that does.

    What is the cost?

If you are referred to an attorney through the lawyer referral service the attorney will provide you with a half-hour consultation for $35. During your visit with the attorney, you and the attorney will discuss your matter and decide what further action to take, if any. There is no obligation for you to hire the attorney, nor is there any obligation on the part of the attorney to take your case. If the attorney agrees to represent you, the attorney will charge you at his or her regular rates.

Can’t afford to hire a lawyer?

The Lawyer Referral Service does NOT provide referrals to pro bono attorneys or on a reduced fee/ sliding scale arrangement. WLA panel member will expect to be paid their normal fees for services. To see if you may qualify for legal assistance, please go to our Legal Aid Facilitation Service.
