The Employment Issues Committee (EIC) serves as a forum for members to discuss employment issues and concerns in the field of law, including equal employment, hiring, and retention for underrepresented groups; nonnative-speaker employment; and part-time, adjunct, contingent, and temporary employment. The EIC makes recommendations to the board of directors on ways in which WLA can address employment issues and concerns within its status as a nonprofit association.
Committee members are expected to attend the annual convention and participate in committee meetings. During the year, members provide support for ongoing projects as requested by the chair.
All committee members must be current WLA members. The committee must represent the diversity of program levels and sectors in the field and the diversity of interests and expertise of the WLA membership.
